How AI Is Changing Everything
How AI Is Changing Everything
I finally realized the ultimate way AI will change the world: it’s shrinking the imagination gap.
Take a moment and think about that.
The space between what we can imagine and what we can actually do is getting smaller. What used to take years, decades, or entire generations to build can now be prototyped or launched in a matter of days or months. That’s the transformative power of AI.
I’ve written before about how I cringe when people call AI a “tool”—not because it’s wrong, but because it’s reductive. It makes AI look like a utility rather than the game-changing accelerator it truly is. I believe AI will push the boundaries of what we can think and do. It will expand the limits of human creativity and execution.
Recently, I had a chat with Sagi Eliyahu, the Co-Founder and CEO of Tonkean, a platform that helps enterprise teams—like HR, IT, legal, and procurement—manage complex workflows more efficiently. Tonkean was founded in 2015 and has integrated AI into its product from the very beginning, long before the recent explosion in generative AI tools.
When I asked him how the narrative around Tonkean has changed—how it’s different pitching the product to investors and customers today versus 10 years ago—his insight was eye-opening.
He described how the emergence of large language models (LLMs) like ChatGPT didn’t just enhance AI’s capabilities; it transformed perception. Before LLMs went mainstream, companies like Tonkean were already using AI to drive results, but it took a lot of effort to get there—and even then, it was often hard to convince customers of the value. The results were real, but the belief wasn’t widespread. That’s changed.
According to Sagi, the arrival of generative AI has sparked a renewed belief in what’s possible with technology. The “imagination gap” that once held them back is rapidly closing. And that isn’t just for tech bros and venture capitalists.
The gap is shrinking for all of us.
Remember the old Apple commercial with the tag line, “there’s an app for that”? Well now there’s AI for that.
Want to start a podcast but don’t know how to edit? There’s AI for that. Riverside FM, the popular podcast recording platform offers an online video editor so easy that “your grandma can use.”
Want to write a book? There’s AI for that. Squibler can create a Full-Length Book in Minutes and offers their AI book writer that makes full-length books ready for print and publishing.
Want to make a movie? There’s AI for that. NolanAI is a collaborative film production suite that says it “covers full film production process from concept creation and screenwriting to planning and stage production.” And promises to “Bring your film project to life from idea to production.”
So, what will you imagine—and create—today?
The gap between ‘impossible’ and ‘I did it’ is shrinking faster than ever. Don’t let another idea stay trapped in your mind. Whether it’s launching that podcast, writing a novel, or reimagining workflows at your company—there’s AI for that.
Pick one project you’ve been putting off. Open a new tab. Find an AI ‘tool’. Start. Then, come back here and tell me how it went. Share your story, your hurdles, or even your wildest ‘what if?’ in the comments.
The future isn’t just coming—it’s here, and it’s yours to shape. Ctrl-X the excuses and Ctrl-V the possibilities.
